The clerk and sheriff maintain different records. The clerk holds court filings, actions, dispositions, and certified copies. The sheriff controls its own incident material and provides a local booking and jail fallback. Call first when a fee, release limit, identification rule, or mailing method is not published. Greenville Police does not release arrest reports, although it has a separate process for incident and accident reports.
